Indigenous Medicine
Indigenous Medicine generally
refers to a body of knowledge that is concerned with healing as it is
practiced in a particular country or region. The preparation and dispensing of herbal medicines form one of the most common forms of indigenous medicine practiced
in different ways in different parts of the world. An example might be the use of
local herbs and plants prepared as drinks, salves or inhalants in a
particular region of India.
