Tuina Tuina utilizes soft tissue manipulation, acupoints, external herbal medicines, therapeutic exercise, and structural realignment methods to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal and internal organ disorders. Tuina massage is usually performed with the ball of the thumb. Its techniques are also applied to the soles of feet in a specialized branch of Chinese foot massage known in the west as reflexology.
