This is a book written for parents, not for educators. It isquick and easy for you to read, yet serves as an excellent reference book tohelp your child learn to read. 

Before you even start reading, flip to page 167 and read the short chapterentitled: Top 10 Quickest and Best Tips. It’s the perfect introduction toa well-written book by Tracey Wood, an expert reading consultant and aninternational speaker on learning disabilities.

Now keep those tips in mind as you start reading about your son from the beginning. 

The author comes right to the point by helping you answer such questionsas: Does my child have a reading problem? Is the reading problem a lack of maturity? When do Iquit waiting for my son to mature and take action so he can learn to read?

Once you decide that your child does have a reading problem, she continuesto answer your questions. How do I get practical help? Is my child in a goodschool? How do I handle his teacher? How can  parent-teacher conferences beused to help my child?

Next comes the subject of tutoring. The author covers thatsubject  by

The last third of the book is about dealing with boy issues and guidingyour son’s behavior. This section alone is worth the price of the book.

This is also an excellent book to keep andrefer to often as youhelp your son conquer the written word. I think it will be a classic in its field.
