Conventionaltoilet bowl cleaners probably contain chlorine bleach and hydrochloric acid (HCL).Both can harm you if you even breathe their fumes.

Toilets

Toilet Bowl Cleaner #1

  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • Add borax if stained

Combine and use with brush to clean toilet.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner #2

  • Pour: 1/4 cup baking soda into bowl and drizzle with vinegar.
  • Let sit for 1/2 hour.
  • Scrub and flush.
  • Add borax for stains.

Ceramic Tiles

Mix together:

  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 gallon warm water

Basin, Tub, and Tile

Mix together:

  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 2 or 3 T liquid soap (castile, peppermint)

Bathroom Odors

It is a good ideato install a timer on each bathroom venting system. If we develop a habit ofturning that timer to 20 minutes when we leave the bathroom, we not only removehumidity from the air, we also removes bad odors.
