Meir Schneider, PhD, LMT, was born with cataracts, glaucoma, small cornea, strabismus, astigmatism, and nystagmus. After five unsuccessful surgeries, he was declared blind and began to study in Braille when he started school.
At age 17, with the aid of a monocle of microscopic strength and with his nose pressed against a book, he could read one letter at a time. Despite the headache this gave him, he never used Braille again. At this point he also began eye exercises which he did at every opportunity.
The process of gaining sight for this adolescent was a gradual process. First, the contrast between light and darkness because more clear; then vague forms became more detailed. Building on techniques pioneered by ophthalmologist William Bates around the turn of the 20th century, he created his own total approach for self-healing. He then used it to reverse his blindness.
Within 1.5 years, he was reading without corrective lenses. In his late 20s, he was granted an unrestricted driver’s license by the state of California.
During his recovery process, he discovered that the same healing principles that govern eyesight could be applied to the entire body. He began helping others reverse the progress of serious illness, as well as vision problems, using exercise and relaxation techniques grounded in Yoga, particularly Tibetan Yoga.
He publishes his program in Yoga for Eyes ORNatural Vision Improvement Kit. They are basically the same program.

Two audio CDs.
The first CD is a series of daily exercises to help correct near-sightedness and far-sightedness, cataracts, and eye fatigue. It includes yoga techniques to increase your sense of eye movement and balance the muscles around your eyes.
The second CD is for computer users or others who suffer from eye strain. It features relaxation and restorative exercises you can do at your desk for eye strain..

By far, Meir Scheider authors the best of all the vision correction programs I reviewed.
If you have a DVD player, Yoga for Eyes will probably make Dr. Schneider’s program easier to learn. However, if you don’t have a DVD player, the Natural Vision Improvement Kit will work for you.
You really do not need both of these publications. Both are essentially the same programs and both are complete.
