Eye Exercises Most eye exercises come from yoga. It is best to remove glasses or contact lenses before doing eye exercises. Palming Rub your hands together vigorously to make them warm. Cup the hands slightly and cover your closed eyes with your hands. Rest your hands on the tissue surrounding the eyes rather than the eyes themselves. Now breathe deeply into your abdomen, then let the breath out completely. Relax; imagine that your incoming breath is black. Meditation is a good accompaniment to palming and will help you relax. Use pillows to support your arms when you palm while meditating. Palm for 5 minute periods during the work day but try for one 20 minute period each day. Write Take a break and write, following the movement of your hand as you do so. This is a form of exercise in itself. Circles Move both eyes simultaneously in small circles. You can imagine a clock or move a finger in a circle before your eyes to get you started. Now close your eyes and continue the circles. Try not to move other muscles in your face while you are doing this exercise. Blink Shut your eyes for a longggg blink while you rub your palms together until your palms are warm.
