All green-building is not the same. 

Many people read an article about green building in Boston or Los Angeles, then follow those instructions when building or remodeling a Dallas-Fort Worth home. Unfortunately, many of the green building techniques suitable for Boston or Los Angeles are wrong for the North Central Texas area.

Or even when not completely wrong, many techniques for other areas are NOT what needs priority for green building in this area. 

What a disappointment to find you have spent money for the wrong improvement or one that is not particularly important to Dallas-Fort Worth! Or your first utility bill arrives and you realize your new, green-built home is not all that energy-efficient.

Know what is paramount for energy-efficiency and green building in Dallas Fort Worth before you build a new home or remodel your present home. Don't take a chance of throwing your "green" away on a non-important features like additional  above-ceiling attic insulation or buying a high SEER AC system.
