|
Xeriscaping refers to landscaping of property in ways that require little-to-no supplemental irrigation. Plants are chosen with natural requirements appropriate to the local climate. Plants with similar watering requirements are grouped together. Care is taken to avoid losing water to evaporation and run-off through mulching. Since Xeriscape is a registered trademark of the Denver water
department, other terms have been coined to describe this method of
landscaping such as smartscaping,
drought-tolerant landscaping, and zeroscaping. Back to glossary green builder, or green remodeler in North Central Texas or the Dallas-Fort Worth area? Contact Terry Jensen Frugal Energy, LLC 972 251-1532 or 817 443-2553 |
