Glossary

In remodeling, many of us think of walls only in what color they should be painted or in some other cosmetic manner like wall paper.

Other only worry about the insulation in walls.

However, insulation in exterior walls in the North Central area of Texas is not nearly as important as is insulation in kneewalls or attics.

If you are doing cosmetic repairs to a room with no wall insulation, such as painting, it would probably be worth your while to have insulation blown into the walls. Just be aware that it will be a long payback in this area.

Kneewalls should definitely be insulated.

Walls also have other problems, particularly when moisture is involved.
