Eating fats is more fattening than protein or carbohydrates

A Modern Old Wives Tale

By Rob McLean

At one time it was thought that fat was more fattening than carbohydrates or protein.Experts said the process of converting calories into body fat took less energy. i.e.,calories,  when converting fat into body fat. If you thought of burning energy toconvert calories to  body fat as a conversion cost, fat had a lower conversion cost.  That is now considered false by many experts.
