| Omega3 can be found in raw nuts, seeds, beans, fish oil, and unrefined vegetable oils such as flax, hemp, walnut and than mainstay of many of the world's diets, the soybean. So even though too much of the wrong kinds of fat is detrimental to health, good fats are essential for health and longevity. Our bodies cant live fat free. We need significant amounts of essential fatty acids to function properly and enhance immunity. These fats are perfectly balanced in nature. Unfortunately processed foods strip most Omega3 fatty acids. So, modern people find that we have too much Omega6 and too little Omega3 fatty acids in our diet. Try a daily dose of 2 T ground flax seed in your smoothie to counteract the effects of processed food. Grind the flax seed yourself and refrigerate it after grinding. Do NOT buy it already ground as it needs refrigeration after grinding. |
