Many experts feel that organic foods are of utmost  importance in safeguarding the health of our children.

Why?

1. Organic foods are the most strictly controlled foods for substances harmful to health of kids, adults, and the planet.

2. Children are especially vulnerable to the toxic effects of pesticides (i.e., poisons) because they are small in size and their bodies and brains are still growing.

3. When exposure to neurological pesticides is sufficiently high, these poisons can  interfere with the proper functioning of the nervous system in a child.

4. Even low body levels of contribute to

a. Delays in development.

b. Behavioral problems.

c. Poor performance and school problems.

d. Attention problems/hyperactivity.

e. Even learning disabilities.

The concern for the effects of agricultural chemicals on children’s health seems so evident that even the often slow-moving U.S. government has taken steps to protect our children In 1996, Congress finally stepped in to help by passing the Food Quality Protection Act. This act required that all pesticides applied to foods be safe for infants and children.

Although this is a step in the right direction, it is not sufficient to protect children, so please feed your precious child an organic diet as much as possible.

Organic for kids is so important!
