Lady Bugs The finest predators.
Lady bugs and their larvae thrive on garden pests. It is best to release them in the early spring so their babies will have the full season to mature. The insects they feed on are aphids, mealybugs, whiteflies, spiders, mites and all other plant pests. They hibernate during winter. They find a protected spot such as a hollow tree, a cave or even inside buildings. They often are seen emerging in mass from a ceiling fixture or under the eave of a roof on a warm day in spring.
