Problems If you have problems with slugs and snails, there is a product called Escar-Go! It is a unique blend of iron phosphate (it occurs naturally in soil) and a bait that lures slugs and snails away from their hiding places. If it’s head to head you’re looking for, fighting insects with other insects is a good way to monitor your garden from a day to day basis.

And if you are tired of swatting at mosquitoes all the time and are frustrated with major-brand names repeatedly failing, keep your lawn around the garden free of pests with Citrus-Nella Repella Spray. It is a concentrate made from ingredients that naturally repel mosquitoes and other insects in the yard for up to three weeks. It is a water based insecticide and repellant that when exposed to sun, rain, or heavy watering, will break down quickly. It is 100% biodegradable and kills mosquitoes, black flies, spiders and gnats.

Solutions Lady Bugs (adult lady beetles) are best when released in the early spring. Lacewings accomplish the same goal and come in a box just like the lady bugs. Both insects are all-purpose predators in the garden, but will not fight each other. Their larvae have a ferocious appetite for aphids, mealybugs, immature scales and whiteflies, thrips, spider mites and most other plant pests.
